NeuroCranial Restructuring®
Patients who seek the NeuroCranial Restructuring (NCR) treatment are usually people who have been through the medical gamut and are looking for a non-drug, non-surgical alternative approach to wellness. Most of these people have suffered a great deal with symptoms such as migraines, dizziness, sinus problems, chronic pain and more. They are tired of being sick and drug dependent. NCR has worked where conventional forms of treatment have failed.
NeuroCranial Restructuring is the newest and most powerful concept of physical medicine in the world today. It is lightning fast, intense, and produces instant changes in the body. NCR represents the culmination of 18 years of clinical development.
How NCR Works
NCR releases the structural alignment centers of the head, spine and pelvis. It is a cumulative manipulation process involving a controlled release of the body’s connective tissue tension.
This meningeal tension of the dura mater is what alters the proper blood flow and cerebral spinal fluid to the brain. As with any enclosed hydraulic (fluid) system, the brain contains these fluids that can increase or decrease internal pressures.
That’s where NCR makes the difference. By utilizing the cranial bones as levers, these pressures can be normalized. NCR utilizes a careful analysis of the body’s proprioception (patterns of balance) to determine the precise areas of the skull where the meningeal tension exists.
The skull is actually unlocked at the sutural margins of each cranial bone. This unlocking begins in the nasal cavity and moves back to the sphenoid bone located at the base of the skull and behind the nose. Anatomically, the sphenoid bone is considered the structural cornerstone of the cranium, since it is positioned centrally and articulates with all the other cranial bones via their sutures. In simple terms, NCR releases the structural pressures of the skull.
An Assesment Will Be Determined
An evaluation is provided to assist both doctor and patient in determining the current health needs. Visual aids, anatomical models of the skull bones and spinal column, along with charts are used to help the patient better understand the cranial technique. Simple and effective testing on one’s balance (proprioception) also determines if a patient is a candidate for NCR and wishes to initiate treatment.
What is a Series
An NCR/BCS series consists of four treatments (one treatment per day) scheduled over a four-day period. After the first series of four treatments is completed, a follow up appointment will be scheduled. Sequence frequency depends upon SEVERITY of the condition, CHRONICITY of the condition and history of TRAUMA and individual RESPONSE rate. This is explained in detail during the patient's evaluation. It has been said that there are few conditions that do not respond favorably to this unique protocol. Best of all, there are no side effects. The worst you can do is get better!
Giving Recognition to the Founders
NeuroCranial Restructuring (NCR) was founded by Dr. Dean Howell of Washington state. Dr. Robert Boyd, founder and originator of the Bio Cranial System (BCS), has spent his lifetime devoted to the development of the Bio Cranial System. Developed in the United Kingdom, it was introduced to the world in 1988.
